Gorge East Amateur Radio (GEAR)

is an ARRL-affiliated club (call sign KE7EEM)

for anyone interested in amateur (ham) radio.

Our goal is to promote the hobby of amateur radio

and to promote emergency communications as a primary club objective.

We do this at our meetings by having an open exchange of experiences and interests,

and by having opportunities for practice and experimentation,

to develop individual operating proficiency.

Most of our members are located in the Eastern Columbia Gorge.

Our membership includes hams who have been licensed for decades,

plus some who have just started in the hobby.

Full membership is open to all licensed amateur radio operators

Associate membership is available for those interested but not yet licensed.

If you are interested in ham radio, please come to the meeting and get to know us!

If you want to get a ham license, we hold training sessions about twice a year

for Technician and General class licenses.
